Rape Having sex with someone when they do not want to have sex. The legal definition also now includes other very serious forms of sexual touching when the person does not agree to being touched

Recovery Order Finding and returning the child

Report What someone thinks and / or what has happened

Residence Order A Court decision about who a child is to live with

Residential Assessment Mother and/or father staying with the child to see how they get on

Resolution Sorting out

Respite Care A chance to have a break with a child cared for in a safe environment

Respondent (1st, 2nd etc) A person who has a Court case brought against them
