Local solicitors Percy Hughes & Roberts have recently taken part in Will Aid’s National Make a Will month.
Under this scheme solicitors make wills for clients free of charge and the clients are invited to make a donation to the charity instead of paying the legal fees.
Percy Hughes & Roberts solicitor Emily Dejon-Stewart wrote over 30 wills during the month long campaign, raising over £3000 for the charity.
Will Aid is a campaign run by nine UK charities: Action Aid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children UK, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (Northern Ireland).
Solicitors all over the UK donated their time and expertise and the 2010 campaign has helped over 18,000 make their will, raising over £1.5 million for the charity.
