We are delighted to share a fantastic update from our first fundraising efforts of the year in support of the Stroke Association.
Emily from the Percy Hughes & Roberts team has completed the “74 Miles in March” challenge, and went above and beyond in the process. Not only did she meet the target, but she exceeded it by walking an incredible 77.77 miles throughout March.
Her achievement is even more impressive when you look at the detail behind it:
- 31 hours of walking
- Over 193,000 steps taken
Thanks to her dedication and the generosity of supporters, Emily raised a brilliant:
- £1,080 in donations
- £155 in Gift Aid
This is a fantastic contribution towards supporting stroke survivors and raising awareness of the vital work carried out by the Stroke Association.
Alongside this, we also held our Easter raffle, which raised an additional £100 for our fundraising efforts. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of those who donated prizes and contributed on the day, helping to make the event a great success.

We are incredibly proud of Emily’s achievement and grateful to everyone who has supported our fundraising so far. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing our efforts throughout the year.
About the Stroke Association
The Stroke Association provides lifelong support for stroke survivors and their families across the UK.
Each year, they help tens of thousands of people through services such as:
• Recovery and rehabilitation support
• Communication tools for those affected by speech difficulties
• Practical advice for adjusting to life after stroke
They also fund vital research and campaign to improve stroke care nationwide.
Their work is driven by a simple but powerful belief: with the right support, recovery after stroke is possible, and no one should face that journey alone.
