Our Charity Partner
The Stroke Association
Percy Hughes & Roberts are proud to support the Stroke Association as our Charity of the Year for 2026.
This charity was nominated by a member of our team as a cause that is very close to their family, and we are pleased to be supporting such an important organisation throughout the coming year.
The Stroke Association is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting stroke survivors and their families. Their work focuses on providing vital support services, funding research, and campaigning to improve care for people affected by stroke.
Throughout the year, our team will be supporting the charity in several ways, including:
- Fundraising activities and workplace initiatives
- Charity challenges and awareness campaigns
- Office raffles and events
- Encouraging donations and raising awareness of stroke support services
Our First Fundraiser – 74 Miles in March
We are kicking off our fundraising efforts with the Stroke Association’s “74 Miles in March” challenge.
Throughout the month of March, Emily from the Percy Hughes & Roberts team will be walking 74 miles to help raise funds and spread awareness for the charity.
This challenge highlights the fact that every five minutes someone in the UK has a stroke, and the funds raised will help ensure survivors receive the support they need to rebuild their lives.
You can support Emily’s challenge by donating through her JustGiving page:

We are also raising additional donations within the office to contribute towards the overall fundraising target if you would like to donate in person.

Upcoming Fundraising Activities
Alongside the March challenge, we will organise further fundraising activities throughout the year. One of our first planned events is an Easter raffle, with all proceeds going into our central fundraising pot for the Stroke Association.
As the year progresses, we look forward to taking part in more activities.

Our Partnership With Cancer Research - Free Will Service

At Percy Hughes & Roberts, we are proud to support Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading independent cancer research organisation. For the past ten years, our team has participated in the charity’s Free Will Service, helping individuals write or update their wills while offering them the opportunity to leave a gift to Cancer Research UK.
Through this initiative, we have assisted over 150 people in making legally valid wills, leading to more than £1.1 million in pledged donations. These contributions help fund vital research projects, such as advancements in cancer screening and early detection methods, which improve survival rates and treatment outcomes.
Our commitment to Cancer Research UK was recognised with a Certificate of Thanks, presented to our Wills, Trusts and Probate team in honour of a decade of support. We encourage those considering writing a will to explore the Free Will Service and learn how they can contribute to life-saving research.
For more information on making a will or leaving a gift to Cancer Research UK, contact our Wills & Probate team today.
